The Azienda Agricola Montioni was born in 1978 thanks to Adeodato Montioni who started here the activity of milling olives, thus the production of the Montioni extra virgin olive oil.

But with the arrival of summer, we wanted to reinterpret this classic dessert with a fresher, lighter twist. That’s how our summer crostata with pastry cream and seasonal fruit was born — the perfect way to highlight the colors and aromas of this time of year.

  What a wonderful experience! Thank you Jessica for a fantastic tour of this beautiful winery. My wife and I loved learning about how the Montioni family developed their family business and the story behind the wines and oil they make. Jessica spoke with great passion and in excellent English of their production process. The wines and the oils we tried were incredible and we couldn’t leave without taking a few bottles home. I definitely recommend the Ma.Gia with its lovely flavour and history and the Passito red dessert wine which is quite unique and delicious. Thank you Montioni and Jessica for a truly wonderful afternoon! Cannot recommend this enough.

  Tolle Weine und leckere Öle aus einem kleinen Familienbetrieb. Trauben und Oliven wachsen in der Nähe von Montefalco und werden von der Familie zu Wein und Öl verarbeitet. Sehr nette Besitzerin die für uns ein exklusives Weintasting durchgeführt hat. Kann es nur weiterempfehlen war ein tolles Erlebnis!!

  Una vera eccellenza umbra tra ulivi, viti e sapori autentici

Ieri ho vissuto un’esperienza indimenticabile in questa cantina immersa nel cuore dell’Umbria, circondata da splendidi ulivi e filari di vite. La visita è stata curata nei minimi dettagli, accogliente e ricca di spiegazioni interessanti sulla produzione dei loro vini e oli.

La degustazione è stata semplicemente straordinaria: vini di altissimo livello, accompagnati da cibo delizioso, preparato con prodotti locali di grande qualità. Ogni sorso e ogni assaggio raccontavano il territorio con passione e autenticità.

Una realtà che unisce tradizione e raffinatezza, assolutamente da non perdere per chi vuole scoprire il meglio dell’Umbria. Complimenti a tutto lo staff per la professionalità e la passione che si respira in ogni angolo di questa magnifica cantina.

Un grazie speciale a Jessica, la nostra guida: competente, simpatica e capace di farci sentire subito a casa.

  Siamo ritornati in questa cantina a distanza di 4 anni per visitare nuovamente le loro tenute ed effettuare la degustazione dei loro vini. Confermiamo nuovamente la nostra scelta: azienda seria, che lavora bene, rispettosa del territorio e delle tradizioni. Vini ottimi, lavorati con sapienza e con cura. Bello che il titolare ci “metta la faccia” passando a salutare le persone che visitano la sua struttura. Un ringraziamento anche a Jessica che ci ha accompagnato nella visita del vigneto e dell’uliveto: persona molto preparata e che mette passione in quello che fa. Continuare così. "Paradise of oil and Sagrantino: hospitality, kindness, genuineness and quality: these are the adjectives that in my opinion summarize Montioni. The owner is a mix of sympathy and preparation and guided us through the visit to his Winery and Oil Mill, managing to convey his love and his passion. Even two abstainers with us were fascinated and impressed, even without participating in the tasting. We closed the visit with the tasting of the excellent oil and superlative wines and with the purchase of both."

"Great products and kindness: We recently visited the olive mill/cellar montioni. After a great welcome, the owner let us taste both oil (very fragrant and very good) and wine. What can I say? There were both excellent! Recommended for those who want to take home a piece of Umbria!"

Summing up: professionalism, courtesy and great products. I bought at reasonable prices the amazing Sagrantino di Montfalco D.O.C.G., the Grechetto I.G.T. and the extra virgin olive oil extracted cold. I recommend it."
